The French Press
Tried out a new place in downtown Lafayette today. The French Press is a New Orleans style bistro. Small place, but very quaint. Food was outstanding as was Matt, our server. Definitely recommend checking it out!
Bloody Mary
Fantastic Bloody Mary’s at The French Press. They use the Zing Zang mix, my absolute favorite!
Omelette
My friend ordered the crab and Brie omelette with the grits and 12 grain toast. She said it was fantastic.
Breakfast Sandwich
At The French Press, I had the Breakfast Sandwich. This thing was so delicious! Avocado, egg, bacon, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli on a croissant. The grits were perfection, as well. I also had the praline bacon (not pictured). I have seen this on various menus for NOLA restaurants and finally had the chance to try it here. I am a huge fan of sweet and savory. Throw in bacon and all I can say...

Are you kidding me, NFL? The Saints are the cellar dwellers for YEARS and “Who Dat” was used on everything from chips to t-shirts without a peep from you, and NOW you decide you own the phrase? How f**king convenient for you. Just when you may actually make money off of your Saints merch. The NFL’s slogan should be “Greed is good!” A**holes.
